Celebrate!

While I may get carried away from time to time with posts of me in my outfits and celebrating all the great things to spend your cash on – this blog is first and foremost about helping women dress their best. It’s about knowing how to dress and celebrate who you are. In Muppet terms it’s a ‘Me –party’.

Everyone has some part of themselves worth celebrating. E-v-e-r-y-o-n-e. Big boobs? Get yourself a great supportive bra and into some flattering V-neck tops and dresses. Small ankles? Show them off in cuffed pants and pretty shoes. Tiny waist – belt it. Clear skin? Draw attention to your face with dangly earrings and sumptuous scarves.

Life is much too short to wear ugly clothes. And spread negative body vibes. Yes you may have bigger hips than others – so what. I bet you look amazing in an A-line skirt and can probably carry a bib necklace like no other. Focusing on the negative will not create a positive – only more glum. Enough!!

An important part of this self-love and appreciation is learning to accept compliments. This seems to be hard for many ladies to do. It only takes one word. Thankyou. No more no less but once you receive and accept that compliment on how fab you are rocking that dress, or how brilliant that colour suits your deep blue eyes, your me-party will be in full swing. It really feels good to be told you look good. Of course it’s not about dressing for others but if they want to send some nice words your way – why not take it. The more you reject a compliment – the less likely you are to get another.

So let’s get this celebration going. Focus on the good and enjoy you.
