My name is Gemma and I am a statement necklace addict.

I’ve been hoarding them like a crazy lady lately – there are just so many dam good ones around and I love that they help add a bit of interest to an otherwise plain outfit. If you are a busty girl better to keep them sitting a little lower – long chains are also flattering. Otherwise layer them up and have fun!

Here’s a few I really like which I may or may not have already have bought.

Wearing: Big W top and jeans, Jcrew chambray shirt, Witchery jacket and bag, Innui heels, Bangles from Diva, Colette and Asos.

I wore this over the weekend. I felt like wearing some of my fave items. Together. This was the result – quite a layered look. I kept it flattering by balancing out the loose layers with a fitted stripe tee, slim cut jeans and heels. Also the jacket helped define the waist with the drawstring detail. There’s something about lots of bangles that feels good. And a bit cool.

Layering is sometimes the only way to stay warm in Winter. Today was one of those days. Layering can be a little more tricky if you are busty and/or short (story of my life) – my tip is thin warm layers (I’ve got a wool knit hiding under that shirt) to avoid being too bulky. And be sure to highlight your waist.

Black, denim and white – could there be a more classic combo. And yes they are the same boots from the last post – its like a one piece 3-way double-take?

The thing with many denim jackets is they can be quite boxy – to make it more flattering always try and highlight the waist.

Again the denim helps dress down this fairly dressy dress without it being a weekend mess. Man I need some new material.

Just a quick sneak peek of today’s outfit – the weather is so miserable I haven’t been able to get a good full body shot. This outfit did get me thinking about great colour couples – and what better match than red and camel? What colours do you think are total soul mates?
