Fab Friday Finds: Put some rings on those ears

I know this is the second week in a row of accessory-themed Fab Friday Finds but changing a shoe or adding a bold clutch/necklace/ring can completely transform the look of an outfit and add some life to more tired pieces.

A great pair of earrings is another way to go from day to night with ease, add a punch of colour near your face or bring some character to a more corporate or conservative outfit.  You really no longer need to splash lots of cash to get some great pieces.  And with some of our most popular costume jewellery stores now online – it’s really too easy.

I love how fun these are. Like a classy little bunch of green bananas –if such a thing exists. They look darling on brunettes. Keep the rest of the outfit simple and let the earrings do the …talking???

You already know how popular tangerine is this season. These will jazz up most outfits and I particularly like this colour with navy.

So pretty and delicate – all age appropriate and under $10 bucks. Ridiculous.

Have a great weekend!

Fab Friday Finds: Pretty pastels

Sugary sweet pastels are another big trend already instore. Although a complete opposite to the other colour theme we’re seeing – its big. I would say it looks best on the younger crowd – I’m thinking teens, and 20 and 30-somethings. On a more mature lady it feels a little wrong and we verge into the mutton/lamb territory.

Anyhoo – for those giving this one a whirl:

This pale pink Portmans tweed jacket feels very Chanel – but a whole lot cheaper. Actually this would be the choice for any mature ladies trying pastel. I like this with a white tee and denim. Also fab toughed up with a black leather skirt and ankle boots.

This Cue dress is so sweet and will totally work for all those summer parties. Great cut for those hourglasses who are not too busty and also you lovely Pears. Keep the rest of the look fresh and modern with nude wedges and an oversized clutch (animal print?).

Accessories are the easiest, safest (cause pale colours are oh so scary – get a grim Gem) and cheapest way to flirt with pastels. Colette delivers every time. Boom.

Will you be joining the pastel party?

Fab Friday Finds: Wrist armour

I’m crushing on all the tough wristwear out at the moment.  I like its ability to toughen up a sweet outfit or add a bit of edge to your work pieces.

Asos spike cuff – I’ve been on the hunt for a gold spike cuff since I first saw Lacey wearing hers – it just goes with everything. This one has just been restocked so act quickly!

Colette Accessories stud bangle – Colette is having a ridiculous sale on jewellery (this cuff is under $5). I like the subtle stud detail on the ivory. Love it with all black outfit for work.

Another Colette bargain – try wearing one cuff on each arm Xena warrior style for a modern take.

Are you a fan of tough wristwear?
