Fab Friday Finds: Denim jackets

You already know denim jackets are back in a big way – well have you got one yet?

The thing with denim jackets is they are notoriously boxy in shape. To make it more flattering on those with with a generous bust – best wear them undone. I also have a soft spot for a popped collar. This one is from Katies.

I love the how faded this Sportsgirl one is. Love the idea of it done up with a necklace or brooch on top (i’m talking to you small chested ladies) and worn back with a black pencil skirt for a fun take on casual Friday.

I’m digging the worn feel on this French Connection number. Denim jackets go with everything and although in vogue this season ( and are a nice wear to calm down all the neon pieces out at present) – they really are a wardrobe classic.

Black, camel, white and denim – such classic colours and so easy to mix and match. And yes that skirt is a new addition to my expanding stripe collection.

Black, denim and white – could there be a more classic combo. And yes they are the same boots from the last post – its like a one piece 3-way double-take?

The thing with many denim jackets is they can be quite boxy – to make it more flattering always try and highlight the waist.

Again the denim helps dress down this fairly dressy dress without it being a weekend mess. Man I need some new material.

I’m back from Melbourne and ready for another stylish week. I wanted to showcase the denim jacket – promoted by this earlier post. I wore this for a causal drink date and love how the denim helps to tone down the pink. I also find I wear my denim jacket with sleeved rolled – it’s the little things that make a difference. How do you wear you denim jacket?

The denim jacket is officially back (although I’m not sure it ever really went away) and is all over the cool set. I for one have always loved how a denim jacket dresses down an ensemble and adds a bit of edge to an outfit. I also love the idea of dressing it up – such as buttoning it right up and belting with a pencil skirt for casual Friday at the office. Here’s some inspiration. I feel a one piece 3-ways coming on.

Silk shirt on the weekend end? Hell yeah! I love the exaggerated length of this Witchery blouse as it can be worn tucked or untucked. I also love the Burgundy against the navy. The denim dresses down the silk to make it more weekend appropriate.
