Fab Friday Find: Wear white and save a life

Fab Friday Find: Wear white and save a life

I’m a huge supporter of Witchery’s white shirt campaign. It is terrifying and unacceptable that one woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer. 100% of the proceeds from this important campaign go to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to fund research into early detection. It is such a worthy cause.

And the latest pieces? Gorgeous. I’ve picked a few of my faves –a lace button up, silk blouse and shirt with studded collar detail. Oh and that tee is too cute! There are also some great accessories in the campaign like this sequin collar and there are also options for that man in your life.

It’s a cliche (and for a good reason) but a white shirt is a must-have item is ANY women’s wardrobe. Except perhaps for the LBD, there isn’t an item any more important to own. They go with EVERYTHING from pencil skirts at work, that fancy datenight mini or jeans on the weekend – they are your wardrobe warrior. Worn tucked in, out, tied at the waist or belted they have the ability to step any outfit up a notch.

Fab Friday Find: This & that

Fab Friday Find
Here are a few fab things I’ve spied this week:

1. The perfect winter coat.
2. This bronze palette is gorgeous and such good value. Now that’s a Benefit
3. Love this against an all black outfit. It’s also pretty special with navy and grey.
4. A total luxe bag and investment buy but I cannot stopping thinking about this satchel.
5. Totally flattering and a little badass.
6. I love Winter hats and there is shape that suits everyone. This fedora is all age appropriate. Bless.

Fab Friday Find: Darling

Fab Friday Find: Graphic knit

I’m loving al the graphic knits around at the moment. This Jcrew one – although very pricey – is just so, well, darling. Play up the cheekiness of the sweater for night or play it down with tougher fabrics – like black leather – for 9 to 5.

Spread the love

Spread the love

Happy Valentine’s day! Whether you are off on a big date or spending it with girlfriends – I think it’s a fun opportunity to embrace girly colours, shapes and patterns. If wearing pink isn’t your thing – wearing bright/flirty accessories like red pumps are just as fun.
Have you got any V-day plans?

How to: Wear tops over dresses

How to: wear tops over dresses
A fave way of mine to get more mileage out of my dresses is to layer OVER them. Here on the left – a t-shirt and flats helps dress down an otherwise fancy dress. While on the right – a peplum top over a maxi helps turn this basic into a date-worthy ensemble.

Outfit post: Emerald green

emerald green

Wearing: Topshop blazer, Veronika Maine top, Jeanswest jeans, Solesociety shoes, Witchery bag, Colette and Asos bracelets , Diva ring, Colette earrings.

How’s your week going?

With Pantone – the authority in colour – declaring emerald green the colour of 2013 – I thought I should do my first outfit post of the year wearing it.  See here how I wore this blazer (and top) for a work outfit last year.

How to: Dress for work during Summer

How to: Dress for work during Summer

When it comes to dressing for work during the hotter months – light fabrics and light layering is key. The tricky part is staying cool but also surviving the overly air-conditioned office – while still looking professional and stylish. These cropped Sussan pants together with this blouse and blazer from witchery look polished but you can easily remove the jacket without exposing too much skin. The print heels are just too fun.

If you are rocking a sleeveless frock at your keyboard can I suggest always carrying a lightweight scarf to keep the chill away. Tan accessories – here and here – feel much lighter than black for Summer.

Do you change your approach to office dressing in the hotter months?

Magnifique!

I have such a girl crush on French blogger/photographer/illustrator Garance Dore. Other than her charming personal style and French approach to dressing, she is an incredibly talented artist. I have always adored her style illustrations and now she is finally selling them online! While each is so special I love the idea of a few grouped together on a bare wall or in a walk in wardrobe. Sigh.
