Fab Friday Find: Wear white and save a life

Fab Friday Find: Wear white and save a life

I’m a huge supporter of Witchery’s white shirt campaign. It is terrifying and unacceptable that one woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer. 100% of the proceeds from this important campaign go to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to fund research into early detection. It is such a worthy cause.

And the latest pieces? Gorgeous. I’ve picked a few of my faves –a lace button up, silk blouse and shirt with studded collar detail. Oh and that tee is too cute! There are also some great accessories in the campaign like this sequin collar and there are also options for that man in your life.

It’s a cliche (and for a good reason) but a white shirt is a must-have item is ANY women’s wardrobe. Except perhaps for the LBD, there isn’t an item any more important to own. They go with EVERYTHING from pencil skirts at work, that fancy datenight mini or jeans on the weekend – they are your wardrobe warrior. Worn tucked in, out, tied at the waist or belted they have the ability to step any outfit up a notch.

Fab Friday Finds: White shirts for White Shirt day

I have long been a supporter of Witchery’s White Shirt campaign and with it being White Shirt Day tomorrow it felt appropriate to showcase this important initiative. Not only are the pieces super chic – the proceeds go to OCRF to help their fight for an early detection of Ovarian cancer. Style with substance.

As you know, a white shirt is an absolute wardrobe classic, warn against the face it is like turning the light on, and this year’s collection has one for every shape.

This pussy-bow style white blouse has a muted sequin detail and is pretty gorgeous. A couple of things about this top – looks great both tucked into a skirt for work and over skinny pants for drinks. Also – If you are flat-chested create some omph by wearing it tied up at the front.

Second thing – what’s the deal with the name ‘pussy-bow’ ? gross.

I wrote about collar details the other day – they are a bit of a trend at the moment but not too much that you couldn’t wear this shirt for years. Best worn with a few buttons undone for those bigger on top and also belted or possibly tucked if you are on the short side. Perfect with every colour and item in your wardrobe for day and night, winter and summer, work and weekend. You get the picture.

Love the lace broderie detail of this one. Love the idea of toughening it up with a leather pencil skirt or even clashing it with another print. The thing with lace for women is it needs to be worn in a grown up way – I don’t like lace with florals as it feels too little girl to me.

Which is your favourite way to wear a white shirt?

Cue online store

I’m not sure how long this has been going on but Cue now has an online store – with free shipping during May.  This is exciting news.  Although they only seem to be selling a relatively small amount of pieces online there are some lovely things.

This pencil skirt is so pretty and the floral print is very on-trend (very Givenchy) but such a classic shape.  A must for hourglasses.

Collar detail is so popular at the moment and I love Cue’s take on this classic white shirt.  It’s a little cool edge to your regular button-down.

And the accessories this season are fun and a bit rock. Adore.
